I run this as a one-of in an Arcane combo deck.
Worth playing just for the look on my opponent's face when I start recurring it with Hana Kami and Soulless Revival.

The good thing is that you will always gain at least 4 life because that is how much mana needed to pay for it. Great card. You will gain even more life if you have more lands.
