I have this guy in my deck with gaea's anthem and reliquary tower... and all the others in this cycle. Half the time I have 40+ cards in hand...

In the right deck this card doubles as both a well-costed fatty and brutal board wipe. If your deck sports black and a consistent decently large hand-size, it's a serious mistake to not include a couple of this chunker.

With the right deck this guy is one heck of a rattlesnake. I like playing Necropotence + Spellbook with this guy, and just when my opponents thinks the situation couldn't get any worse, I play Xathrid Demon.

Not that this is a bad creature, but if you already have Necropotence or 40 cards in hand, you should already have something awesome going on. This guy seems a bit superfluous in this situation.

I use this guy in my casual Sedris Reanimator-Control deck. Great when I want to sweep the board for a mere 2BB (most of the time trying to get -4/-4, so that my sedris stays alive :P)

Maro is a recurring suffix for boys names, meaning something along the lines of 'me' or 'I'.
Transliterated; Kagemaro means approximately "Great One of Shadow".

One of my favorite cards ever. I love how he can be used as a beater or a removal spell. Lets you hold people back in multiplayer games, too, threatening to pop him should they start getting fresh with you.
If you have draw-power sufficient to keep 4+ cards in your hand consistently, aren't there any number of other, more decisive/reliable things you can do to win than "swing with vanilla fatty"? Black isn't quite as strong as white in the board-wipe area, but it definitely has better options than THIS.
