This is so much fun in multiplayer; all it takes is a little black mana and everyone's plans immediately are skewed. Of course, you WILL be eliminated, but it's a fun way to go out.
My second favorite black enchantment, behind Conspiracy

Yes, this was a common -- and a huge mistake for being so! Limited in Urza's block was interesting, to say the least.

Scumbling- if by "interesting" you mean "forceblackforceblackforceblack." Among other things, you had expunge, befoul, corrupt (!) and of course pestilence all as commons in Urza's Saga.

I own both this and Witch Engine. I always liked those "birds" in the background, but I've never realized that they were the Witch Engine... Great art! Very creepy...!
Incredible card! A repetible and scalable mass removal is so powerful that I've never understood why it was common at those time... For a red version, search for Pyrohemia.

Somebody please help! I own a copy of this card, and according to the set symbol, it is the Urza's Saga printing. Here's the conundrum: the copy I own is WHITE bordered AND and UNcommon! What gives? Do I own a misprint? Or is it from some weird promo set or something?

It was probably from the Battle Royale promo set.
