Plays well with Primal Forcemage.

I have fond memories of this card...the deck I had wasn't the best, but it was fun to play.

I just love the idea of a gun that fires robot hornets... quality. 7 mana to get your first 1/1 hornet though? Not so good quality!

There are -much- better, more efficient, and faster token generators out there, but none of those worthless things are -hornet cannons-. I think they could all stand to learn a thing or two from this card. Like how to be -hornet cannons-.

This would be vastly more playable were they not self-sacrificing hornets.

Since it says, "destroy," you could use Darksteel Forge or Eldrazi Monument to negate the last part of the ability.

Or you could use one of the many 'sacrifice a creature or artifact' cards that exist.

if this didn't have to tap it would be a pretty respectable card, pity

I think I'll add this to my Slobad EDH. Either sack Myrs to make the Hornets stay or just sack the Hornets to save your artifacts.

It's still not good, but it's a still a Hornet Cannon.

I guess this is an update to The Hive... and still not good. They should print a version of this without the destroy clause. I guess you can regenerate it, but that's probably even MORE mana...

I always thought the hornets should give poison counters....

It's worth noting that this can provide an instant speed 1/1 flying blocker for 3 each turn. The death clause would be less of a sting since they'll probably die anyway. But as previously mentioned, Ashnod's Altar and the like are a good way to sacrifice the tokens before they die.
