This card is too narrow of focus for constructed decks....

I dunno, the advent of Caw-Blade seems to merit a rating higher than 1 and change.

It's a limited card, plain and simple.

I'd use this spell with Bludgeon Brawl. It will be in a "for laughs" casual deck, but it would work rather nicely! (Especially with Liquimetal Coating, Geargrabbers, Goblin Gaveleers and Turn to Slag included in the deck.)

@Enemy_Tricolor - You'd be correct...but at the time, Caw wasn't around.

Not exactly going to take the world by storm, but it's essentially a very specific Naturalize that combos into Shock. Would probably see a lot more play at RR, where it belongs.

Oh look, it's babby's first Turn to Slag. How cute!

Take out a Sword of X and Y + the wimp its attached to.

Problem with Turn to Slag: Doesn't work if the creature has hexproof. And it costs 2 more. It's a more powerful effect, but a creature is much more likely to be untargetable than all of its equipment. Like someone else said, this is a cute way to melt an Invisible Stalker. They might have bumped it up to three damage, but as it is, it's still good.

A narrow Shatter (1Red) plus a conditional Shock (Red) equals... Unforge? (2Red) Honestly, this could have cost 2 even at common and it wouldn't have been too game-changing.
