Interestingly enough you can attach this to a creature at the end of the First strike damage step to prevent it doing any damage at all.

Good card but I don't like the art, doesn't make thematic sense on a lot of creatures.
I like being able to give high power creatures (*cough* Red *cough*) first strike at instant speed for RR, lots of possibilities there
