well, not that bad since you can sacrifice anything. but for a four-drop, they could have given Trample to this guy. you won't get very far by sacrificing for example four tokens and a land if all your opponent needs are a bunch of chump blockers...

This card is garbage, Period. It doesn't matter that you can sacrifice anything, it's totally not worth it for a vanilla card.
At least it's strictly better than wood elemental, which isn't saying much since they both suck like hell. And this is a red card, what exactly do you have worth sacrificing in red?

Clearly inspired by Wood Elemental, one of the greatest creatures ever printed!
The casting cost is the same, but as Wood Elemental only lets you eat untapped forests, but this lets you eat ANYTHING, it had to be increased to Legend status because it is so powerful. I mean, think of it - for the cost of only 3 cards plus this 1, you could have a Hill Giant for 3R, and that's broken!!
Total drek. I'm glad I was out of the game during Kawigama.

I liked him in my Zubera deck late in the game, but beyond that he is useless.
So epicly bad that I HAD to make an EDH deck for him. It's still a work in progress, but it's amazing(ly bad).
The only redeeming factor on this guy is that he doesn't sac your stuff until he actually resolves. That means people can pull a fast one on you and blow up your warstorm surge after you've sacced your permanents, and they can't get you to sac permanents and then counter him.
He sucks, but he's actually sort of resilient in that sense.

It's only barely strictly better than Wood Elemental. This card is like a legendary red WOOD ELEMENTAL. What in the world!
So much better than wood elemental the game won't even let you have two of them on the field. That would just be too much, plus, its name sounds like 'Shiatsu'. Easily a 5/5. EDH material.
