Actually I don't think it does lower buyback. Maybe the 1 in capsizes printed cost but not the buyback. If you want to reduce buyback costs use memory crystal.

@XTwistedsoulX: actually, it works. The rule about determinating what a spell costs is that you first add at its mana cost every addictional cost, then you apply every cost reduction. So if I want to play a Capsize with buyback and with 4 medallions in play, the calculation goes: + (buyback) - (medallions) = .
Those medallions are a lot of aceleration, in that if you cast 2 spell of the appropriate color is like that they add to your mana pool for each medallion. They need a reprint! I've already bought the playset of the blu one, now I'm looking for the red one...!
