Someone locked me by using a permanent to put it back into play during my draw phase, making me discard what I just drew, every turn.

I like how the new spellbombs don't require a choice as to draw or effect, although the instant discard is fairly nice...

Instant speed discard.... ON A COMMON. What's that? "...but sometimes my opponent plays really aggresive and plays out their hand..." Like any good swiss-army knife this card has (albeit a clunky version) cycling.

Best Spellbomb. I enjoy using this with the newer Glissa for both effects.

I had this and a salvaging station and never thought to lock out an opponants draw.... as if I missed that.

The Scars "spellbombs" are mere slowtrips compared to the sheer power of this original cycle. The ability to recur these 5 artifacts at low cost nets you enormous amounts of value. And can draw your entire deck.
Sunbeam Spellbomb is the infinite life component of the Eggs deck. In the absense of infect, converted the Second Sunrise Deck into "Hide and go Mill yourself" because the Eggs player had infinite life and was undeckable. The opponent couldn't match the speed of life gain, and eventually ran out of cards.
Æther Spellbomb is a broken, easily recurred Unsummon. And also an Egg.
Pyrite Spellbomb empowered red decks to kill annoying "protection from red" creatures such as Paladin En-Vec. Also provided instant speed draw when a colorless Shock was somehow not relevant. Most notably, was the "easy" kill condition of the Eggs deck, Sunny Side Up piloted by Pierre Canali at Worlds '06.
Lifespark Spellbomb combos with Eradicate to rid your opponent's library of silly and outdated things, such as basic lands. Also lets your Forest ambush that 2/2 that's trying to get some aggro.

Even the flavor text knows what's going on.
"Forget that which was never known." - Discard that which was never fully drawn.
