A nice multicolor land, but the newer 3-color ones are way better. It doesn't matter though if you only run 2 colors.

Yup, hate to say it, but Sejiri Refuge just made this proxy fodder. Sorry, Coastal Tower. It's that damn power creep.

I use it in my vintage blue/ white artifact deck. Its a charming land. Not over powered and still useful, but outclassed by many other dual land. I give it a 3 out of 5.

Useful in EDH; that's about it. For those of us who can't afford duals or shocks, this is the next best thing. (FYI for those who don't know, you can only have one of each card in an EDH deck other than basic lands.)
I have this, Sejiri Refuge, and Glacial Fortress in mine. I actually love the artwork on this, and it looks amazing in foil.

Refuge Cycle and this Cycle have now been ousted by the Gate Cycle in Return to Ravnica:
1. These are 'budget' lands- there are better lands, so if you're looking at these, you want cheap cards. Common is better than Uncommon for getting Cheap cards. Actually have a great chance of picking up a full 40 set for less than $5. $6 at the absolute most, if someone really charges you 15c each, but that's kind of jerky. Commons should be: 'you can have a huge pile of them, plus 10 crap rares at a dollar a rare'.
2. They have a relevant subtype- 'Gate'- that can make some other cards a lot better/reasonable. I don't think this new 'Gate' thing will be hugely important outside of Limited, even considering the name of the set 'Gatecrash', but it does mean that budget decks with budget synergies will be buildable, and this neither this cycle nor the Refuges have enough synergies to really point you one direction or another.
3. I think the Ravnica Gate lands are going to take the spot of the Alara Shard Lands as 'what budget players use to play Gold Decks' and Gate decks might even turn out to be the Best non-rare manafixers ever.
