I remember I was playing a game where this was my last creature on the battlefield. My opponent had Silvos, Rogue Elemental out. I'm @ 6 life. I realize I'm about to loose. But then I remember a very nice rule. When a creature regenerates it taps.
So every time it is his turn I tap this guy to kill his Silvos. He regens him but it doesn't matter because he has to tap & can't attack with him. Needless to say he was mad. But this guy is was my MVP! Go old school!

Very cool flavor with an epic feel to it. He's not a god or a demon or a dragon... Just a human with enough guts to somehow wipe out anything he wants. And I love how it's a Tap effect and not a Sacrifice like so many others like it

Yea, the flavor is awesome. It's like he won't kill most humans or weak creatures because of some code of honor.

Awesome EDH card.

This is my favorite art for this card, because it reminds me of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, when the Witch King gets knocked off of his mount by Eowyn. That's always what I thought of this card, it really seems to embody the spirit of her character in the book (and movie); pure guts combine with skill to be able to take down what no one else could.

Don't know why... But this card bothers me.
Well, I have never been much for the under dog though...
I am currious as to what him killing Emrakul would actually look like...

I just have one fake word to say, "gigantomancer."

Gigantomancer only works on your own creatures, unfortunately, so you couldn't pump your opponent's and then kill them. Although if you have a Gigantomancer you usually just pump everything you have and swing hard.

I like running this guy in nice simple synergy with Giant Growth-type affects. Take their big stuff and kill it, turn the little stuff into big stuff and kill it, turn the Hero big when somebody else tries to kill it.

There isn't much funner in the game than taking out four or five consecutive Eldrazi with one card.

White weenie decks needed protection from fatties. This guy delivered.

The Hollywood hero that defies basic physics, statistics or common sense!

It was an interesting card too, though punishing big creatures is probably not what Wizards wants anymore, since big creatures are already naturally hindered by their costs.

@Gabriel422

Nha, I don't see him as "Hollywood hero", only a Hero.

Heroes are suppose to defy all logic or statistics to beat a bigger opponent or archive a impossible goal, is because THEY ARE HEROES, they are persons that can overcome great difficulties to win! Heroes give us hope, because they defy the word "impossible". That why they are heroes: Because they do what seems IMPOSSIBLE to normal people, who hero don't do that?

A Firefighter that enters in a building in flames to save ONE person, despise all people saying that is impossible, is a hero. See? Heroes struggle against the impossible. It’s what a hero does. xD

He kills Emrakul! Unfortunately, he's helpless against Blightsteel Colossus

This dude weighs in at around 300 pounds, he's got these bigass gorilla hands, swings a two-handed sword in one hand, has a full plate armour set, very nice and elaborate design too, they really went all out on it for him, also the shield, very expensive shield I bet... and he's 1/1. What a doofus!

Yet somehow, he occasionally manages to get the jump on a would-be adversary. And he never lets you forget it either. Somebody stuff a sock in his mouth please aaahhh

*glances up at Emrakul, the Aeons Torn*

Pssh, I can take that chump.

@Zoah

He attacks Emrakul's weak point for massive damage. He probably has a vorpal weapon or just knows where Emrakul's exhaust port is.

A hilarious card that causes a lot of headaches amongst friends in casual play. Here's an example

My turn: *plays *Obzedat*,"You are so screwed, my friend!"
Friend: *taps Intrepid Hero* Your ghosts are dead.
Me: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I don't know if he'll ever see constructed play, but he's definitely a fun card that will take care of a lot of big things.
