This is a good card! WOW this is way underrated. Most Green decks aren't mixed with black (but of course there are some), and don't use unearth. That's the only instance I could see that this wouldn't be good. If your not regenerating or unearthing this is an awesome card in Green Aggro.

Agree w/ EvilCleavage (great, but disturbing nick, btw).

A 4/3 for 4 isn't scary compared to a Blastoderm, but the ability is fantastic. It's a creature right between too big to let through defenses and too small to block and risk setting off the ability. My opponents always have to balance how and when they'll block it.

i think this is fun to use in casual, and i agree with plastic avatar, it puts your opponent in an awkward position having to balance when and how they'll block and might commit a misplay..

i admire players who can still appreciate cards like these despite today's power creep..


i guess its new incarnation, rooting kavu is better since you can choose whether you want to trigger its ability..

but i like the art on this one..

I have a great love for this card, I didn't even know what I would use it for when I got it but now it sits in my Scion of the Ur-Dragon EDH deck as a reset button just in case, plus with Training Grounds it is extremely easy to get all my dragons back there for Twilight's Call or Immortal Servitude.

The art makes it look a lot like the elementals from Lorwyn (the idea elementals, not the flamekin)
