The orb with butterflies in it in the top right corner can be seen in the card Zuran Enchanter

Only good against white, but at 2B, it can be a total gamewinner. If you can get one down on turn 3 and 4...nothing the opponent can do.

Ow, my balls. Black should loosen that tight grip on my White-playing balls.

Terrible card (because it's so stupidly broke) but I love it, because it's anti-white. I hate white. D:<

I love how not only does it make their spells cost more, the stupid circles of protection get specifically spited as well.

Got it once on turn one with a Dark Ritual, won the game, byt the time the other had the opportunity to play any weenie, he was to wait turn 4. strong! in in an BlueBlack deck, put in some sleight of minds to add insult to injury

This card has seen so much play over the years, professional and casual tournaments as a side board!Usually the first or second pick for anti-white sideboard back in the day!Definitely a 4.5 as far as sideboards go, even if only a 1.5 star card as a staple card in a deck.Making it an average 3 star card overall! The best tournament I ever saw was some guy who had built a deck around when IceAge first came out. I don't remeber the build, but he decided to exploit Power Sink effects in a Black/Blue. I remember Homelands was allowed in that Tourney, and the spread he had out was sick! 3 Glooms, an Irini Sengir, a few Mole Worms tapping out land, a Koskun Falls, a couple of Seizures on the few creatures that made it into play, an Icy manipulator, then for the kill a couple Norrit on the table poised to untap his small army of Prodigal Sorcerer and Zuran Spellcaster's he had in play. Not to mention the Power Sink's he seemed to always draw to add insult to injury! Talk about a tournament to rember. He placed second, he lost to a mono red burn deck, but still! Gloom as a sideboard against the many white decks made the difference for sure!

You guys are so unoriginal, I use this is my green control deck to deal with blue aggro. Why is everyone talking about white?

I'm getting a real Castlevania vibe from this card.
It's too bad there isn't a red version that does the same thing; I could use a bit of white hosing on my end of the spectrum.
