Decent in Limited as a 4/4 flyer for 6 in any colors. Crap elsewhere.

I'd much rather have this as an uncommon than, say, Lotus Guardian as a rare.

Hey, Lumengrid Gargoyle was from an artifact block and wasn't great. Here at least he gets cool art.

Hey, I played Lumengrid Gargoyles back in Scars limited, they weren't great, but they were solid.

It cost too much for a 4/4 flyer, but that said it got evasion in limited - some uses, but not a high pick.
It will never see constructed play. 2 stars card.

Great limited card. Sure you need solid early game to not die before casting it, but when you do, it protects you from intimidate creatures, swings past giants, and eats/blocks most flyers in the format.

It's a great card, a 4/4 flying wall is always good, especially if it has no defender.

2.5/5, as it's casting cost is too prohibitive to be use in Standard, and unlike Hearthstone, you are not guaranteed 1 mana per turn, so hitting 6 mana is fairly inconsistent, but a creature like this can save you if you are flooded with lands, unless their board is too big.

2.0/5, it wastes a valuable uncommon slot, which could have been a stormchaser chimera, or cyclops of eternal fury, or anything that brings more options to the board, or actually helps. As it can't block multiple creatures, no first/double strike, if you cast it, opponent's board is probably full of "stuff" to deal with it already, It's definitely not worth an uncommon status.

Didn't need this reprint... would've been nicer to get a 3/4 for 5. Gargoyle Castle is not suitable for a teaching deck.
