Nah, this is not a worse Electrickery. Scry 1 can be worth as much as an extra card if it's a useless land you scry away. And you don't cast Electrickery without the overload all that often.

Old card + infect = new card.
Formula for making new cards in Theros block:
Old card + scry 1 = new card.
With such innovation I can only guess where MTG will be in another twenty years!
