It's decent, but not awesome.
If you play her late, then her body is pretty weak for Commander.
If you play her early, you get a decent body, but the triggered ability won't do much.
Probably ok in a deck that can create lots of copies of a creature, or flicker her in and out or whatnot.

Nice, graveyard hate with an aggressive body. Look at it this way; you'll either get an on the curve flyer if you play it early or a graveyard wipe for that dude who's playing Karador, Ghost Chieftain if you play it late.

It's like a white loaming shaman, except it's a 3/4 flier instead of a 3/2 ground-pounder. Nice! The fact that her body isn't very large is fine when considering the fact that she has evasion.

I love the reference to Innistrad. Had she been released in the block, she would be a better mythic than Archangel's Light.

More massive amounts of graveyard hate at a minimal opportunity cost. Just what I needed to see. I hope no one plays this one against me, that's for sure.
Tormod's Crypt used to be a legitimate use of a card, but now you have plenty of options that don't use a card for the same effect and don't cost a whole lot more.

We are slowly being fed all of the 4 cmc and lower angels, dragons and demons for our tribal decks. Thank you Wiz :)

"Finally, an answer for all the graveyard shenanigans in EDH!"

I've never ever believed niche hate cards were worthy of rare. With a great beater body, this one probably comes a shitload closer, but not by much. It goes without saying that Scavenging Ooze is "better" (I have to put that in quotation marks because I know for a fact there's going to be someone who doesn't think so), but I still think the Tactician deck would have been better if they'd actually stuck in something that was interesting.

As someone who has been struggling to put in interesting graveyard hate (Loaming Shaman didn't seem to do enough) in my Bant deck, this is a welcome relief.

Kryptnyt, what I like about Commander as a format is that this card really doesn't obsolete Tormod's Crypt from the format, though if we were looking at this card for Standard, maybe it would. :)

First of all, this is White. White has better than this already, I think. What is Blue or Green or Red going to do about Graveyard combos? Yeah, that's what I thought. Second, Tormod's Crypt is {0} mana, which can make things vastly playable. Ask Ornithopter. If you're worried about a metagame where every single deck has at least That One Fatty it's trying to get out of it's graveyard, maybe this compact Value Angel is a better choice for you and you want to just stop trying to force Red and always play W/x

If on the other hand you don't care about stopping people reanimating the occasionally Wrath-able or O-Ring-able Creature, but you DO care about Ghave and Karador going Open Season on Crazy, maybe you want Tormod's Crypt as a silver bullet answer to decks that threaten to table a group in one turn.

It depends on your priorities and colors. And In Commander, there's enough love for really every color against every other color to have it actually work. In Standard or Modern, yeah this Angel says "Crypt is obsolete'. It doesn't say that in Multiplayer though, which is why EDH is so popular. =)

4 stars for being more than 'generally good' and having a clear use for a specific goal that it's good at and effective against wide ranges of strategies :)

I wish it was Angel of Rest and Peace (though not in name of course.) I mostly wish it was untargetted; but alas; we can't be too spoiled now.

Either way, she dodges bolt, shrinks goyf, is fine for casual, and is maindeckable grave hate; good stuff.

I have a feeling this should have been in Avacyn Restored with the sword hilt and the grave markers.

a 3/4 flyer with an extra ability is great! No matter the ability.

That said when I was gloating to my friend about a thematic card that could destroy his reanimator deck, he looked at it and scoffed. Apparently giving it flash like Restoration Angel would put it more into the meta. Another reason it's :not that good" is that the point of grave hate is that it's supposed to be quicker than all the dick combos the opponent uses to cheat things into play. So I guess its back to Tormod's crypt's and Rest in Peaces.

I just look at the 3/4 angel for four mana and smile. What do you think?

Playing cards like these vs. people who play graveyard-based decks in edh is a surefire way to lose friends (because you completely obsolete their expensive decks).
Effective? Yes. Fun? Not really.

ANOTHER grave-hate? Can we just leave the graveyard alone for a while?

Rest in Peace is hardcore, but at least, you can use it for a hard lock with Energy Field or Web of Inertia or to OTK an opponent with Helm of Obedience.
