This entire cycle is a waste, sorry Wizards but tricking noobs isn't quite a good enough reason to make a card, especially a cycle of uncommons.

It could be better. If it triggered off of Oppoment's spells, then this would be a great cycle. as it is, right now, its lukewarm.
if you manage to have all 5 staves out, and prismatic omen, Lands will give you 5 life a drop. thats astounding. combo that with Into the Wilds, or Abundance, and you have a lifegain engine.
I would love to see this and Archangel of Thune in a tournament winning deck together. Someone, please make this happen.

White has more efficient means to gain life for it's life related combo decks. It will be played in some casual players lifegain deck, but there are better options for that as well.

This might see play in soul sisters. Might. At the very least, it does allow Ajani's Pridemate to trigger of your land drops, but since Soul Sisters has few lands to start with, it might not be worth it.
Might make a half decent filler in a budget deck. It does sit neatly on the curve between Pridemate and Ranger of Eos, but it wont trigger the turn you use it.

They could've kept this one in and swapped all the other Noobstaffs out for artifacts more consistent with their colors. With all the white life gain in this set, I think this particular staff makes sense.

@Pigfish99: I agree with the lukewarm thing about the cycle (maybe excluding the painfully hot looking Staff of the Flame Magus. I agree they should have triggered from other player's cards.
But I'd call that lifegain cycle you suggested anything but astounding. By the time you manage to put five artifacts with the total cost of on the battlefield as well as two more enchantments, you should have won the game already.

This card is very lackluster for the fact that it only procs from your spells and lands, while white has other ways of much more efficient lifegain too.
