I feel this card needs more love... Outside of artifacts after your first spell, you're pretty much Silenced. Interesting that this two-drop is great late game.

you said it Gcrud: it's more for late-game....but it costs 2 mana...for 2 mana late game plays, there's much better at Mythic Rare. :P
For non-2-mana late game plays...more mana gets you more card. :P It's good. It's just not Gaddock Teeg-good.

True, but this is somewhat less restrictive than Gaddock Teeg on your own deck. It does slow down certain early aggro and combo plays too, so it has good early game potential.
Different cards for different reasons, I feel.

This is not for late-game. This is for anti-combo unless you're running artifacts. It's also for things like Zoo, Goblins, or similar, who may try to play loads of spells while you meander up your curve.
Even so, every deck, be it artifacts or not; want this out T1-T2 if they're going to play it. You want to stuff the opponent's tempo if he's going to go that route. It helps for making people decide between removal or more creatures in aggro decks (as they may even want to use instant speed removal on their turn in order to clear blockers.)

Dropping this T1 on the play against Goblin Charbelcher is a great feeling.

I think this is less of a Gaddock Teeg and more of a miniature teferi, Mage of zhalfir. She doesn't prevent higher card drops but rather makes sure that your opponents ( and to a lesser extent her controller) ensure that they make it count when they cast spells. I've seen and won counter wars over this thing and believe me when she's on your field you practically have soft lock. With the isochron scepter on the field and some form of counter or bounce underneath it they basically won't be able to do anything. Just make sure they can't pay for a mana leak.
