Sure makes a better uncommon than a rare. In a set with people playing storm decks however, I'm not sure it makes a difference.

The only dragon in MM, apart from the Kamigawa cycle. Dragonstorm probably won't be viable.

I wouldn't bother with the suspend, I'd just cast it. In that case, it's a 4/4 firebreathing flier for 6 - Kinda bad, but could win some games in limited.

Powerhouse in multiplayer? I'm assuming my lack of understanding sarcasm is what's happening here...

Thankfully this card wasn't printed as a rare. Best Case Scenario, you Turn 4: Suspend and Fury Charm for a 4/4 Flying Haste creature. Worst case, your opponent plays a spell on each turn and you wasted RedRed. This doesn't become a problem in late-game limited (since they're usually going off the draw), but by then, you could just hard-cast it.

Two of these and two Fury Charm during MM were huge draft picks.. 4 for a 4/4 flyer with a pump?

I actually did see someone run it in multiplayer once.

Well, I saw it suspended at any rate.

I think it makes good buddies with Rift Elemental. Maybe not best friends, but I can see them getting a beer together.

Do not draft this! It will not ever unsuspend.

This sucks, 6cmc for a 4/4 that will probably never get on the battlefield

"This sucks, 6cmc for a 4/4 that will probably never get on the battlefield"

You guys always only look at their mana costs and don't see how good card this can be.

At first, it has ONLY two mana suspend. You won't probably have anything amazing with two mana in your hand during your second turn.
At second, this freaks your opponent out. He/She thinks that he/she must play spell each turn or all will be lost. Not many think about this "mental gaming" when constructing their decks, even when it can easily harm your opponent's game.
At third, its like Volcanic Dragon without haste and with handful ability. And yet still some players play Volcanic Dragon. Volcanic Dragon doesn't even have suspend!

Useful and even lethal. 3.5/5 from me.

One possible way to get him out is Winter Orb:
T2 Winter Orb
T3 Land, Pardic Dragon :D
T4 Land, Sphere of Resistance (not necessary, but probably in the deck)

Also, in color Rift Elemental?! They add counters to him you get fatter beats out of your 1-drop!
T1 Rift Elemental
T2 Pardic
T3 Rip a counter off of him and trade favorably or hit for 3
T4 Rip two counters off of him and hit for up to 5. At this point you've removed 5 counters; he's probably attacking!

Another fun thing:
T1 Flailing Soldier or Branded Brawlers
T2 Pardic

Do they cast spells to keep your pardic down or do they spend mana on the soldier? Either way you get a fun oversized creature.

You just have to be more creative than "Dur, burn cards" with this guy.

Use Jhoira of the Ghitu's ability twice, once for this guy and once for Deep-Sea Kraken. Then let your opponent think.

A Commander staple.

This is actually a nice second turn play if you go for land destruction decks. Stone Rain, Armageddon, etc, all prevents your opponent from casting any spell.
