I think this is Far and Away the best of the uncommon split cards.

Fuse resolves as left side then right side. Bounce the creature they would most prefer to sac.

Barrin's Spite was pretty awesome, this is just more awesome.

It's too bad you couldn't choose how the card resolves. It could've taken care of a lone Thragtusk and its token by itself. As it is, it's not too bad, as you can bounce a weenie to make them sac a more valuable creature.

This is an excellent card, fused or unfused.

Each mode costs 1 more than their "usual" cost. Far costs 1 more than Unsummon. Away costs 1 more than Diabolic Edict. But the option to be able to do either one is worth that extra mana. Add-in the fact that you can do both for only 5? Now THAT'S versatility, in fact, a "charm-level" versatility....just not as cheap. 5/5

This is one of the few dual cards that are worthy. It is playable in many situations and in avarage it doesn't cost so much.

Expect to see a lot of this in control, both options are pretty nasty and getting hit by both can completely wreck an creature-based deck for a couple turns. I'm not looking forward to be on the receiving end of this....

I really like this card. I think you never want to cast Far on its own, but it will actually be relevant a surprising amount of the time. The plays where you bounce their weenie and get them to sac their curve topper will be what you remember though.
@whisperingsage, unfortunately even if you could resolve Away before Far you could not deal with a Thragtusk. You need to declare targets for both sides when you cast it. So you would force them to sac a creature (Thrag in this case), then you would have had to have selected Thrag as a target (or one of your creatures) to be able to legally cast fuse. You cannot adjust targets.

Great way to deal with Geist, snag the token and force them to sac the spirit
Edit: You can just make them sac the Geist first!! Haha but good card all-around

Turn/Burn deals with a thragtusk on its own. Half the time giving u a shock to target something else with. This doesnt so in the current standard meta its not as good. Still great 4.5

One time my opponent had put a Krasis Incubation on my Dinrova Horror while my only other creature was a 2/2 guildmage. Next turn I cast Far on my Horror and Away at my opponent.
Remember: Far // Away can be used effectively on your creatures too.
The wording is specifically "target player sacrifices a creature" Away doesn't target a creature at all and the creature appears to be chosen upon resolution.
Play Far, target thragtusk. Play Away, target opponent.
If left resolves first then:
Far resolves, thragtusk bounces. Thragtusk ability goes on stack, resolves, token appears. Away resolves, opponent picks a creature to sacrifice, choosing the lone thragtusk token.
You have a clear field but they have the Thragtusk right back in their hand so you better hit hard
edit: Or does a fused card resolve as if it were two events on one card, rather than 2 cards? In which case the Thragtusk token won't proc before away resolves?
@Macabre13, the way spells resolve stops this from working how you say. When a spell starts to resolve, nothing else can happen before it finishes. So far bounces the thragtusk then they sac a creature before the token is produced.
seriously, this is a huge advantage in limited. saved my ass many times.

I put a couple of these in my grixis discard deck just to see how I like them. I ended up replacing the rest of my Unsummons with them. I actually find myself just casting the Far side more often than I anticipated, because I have so many cheap discard spells and/or discard effects on my creatures that the extra 1 mana to bounce usually doesn't hurt much.

Although I haven't ran into the problem, it would be better if Far // Away wasn't treated as multicolored. It would have been great versatility against protection from a color. Nonetheless, always a fun card to play!
