Hey, the errata'd text now says that you may pay to remove this from the game and put a creature from your hand into play. MAY. If you don't, you just paid to not have a creature at all and indeed have no hope of getting that creature back, which I find kinda cool.

Blue sneak attack that is much easier to disrupt and more expensive to activate. The only reason i could see this in use is that blue has some big, expensive creatures with evasion that can be nice to have out. Quest for Ula usually has that covered though, mostly making this card obsolete.

with torpor orband phage you could try and swing for game turn 4, turn one if you have lotus petal, black lotus, island, channel, this, torpor orb, and phage.But that would be a perfect hand with a lotus
