With Nath as my general in EDH every tutor I draw basically says. "Find and play sadistic hypnotist, play nath for complete lock down and an army." Then the next tutor I draw says. " Go get asceticism or Kamahl and finish the poor bastard." Nath is the perfect embodiment of Black Green btw. Discarding and elves. and he even forces a discard to make sure he doesn't just sit there. The Sadistic Hypno and Nath combo also works well with Nullmage shepherd, geths grimiore, grave pact, phyrexian altar, and It That Betrays. Once you get that web out if your opponent keeps a card in hand they are going to be screwed over.

Wow... this is actually pretty dang brutal! If you have some sort of token deck, you can totally wreck your opponent, permanently! I actually think I'm going to pick a couple up!
Not to mention that the art is badass.

This card is getting reprinted in Duel Decks: Izzet vs Golgari and I'm so happy to have it in the modern frame. And yes, I do have a Nath of the Gilt-Leaf commander deck

1. Gleancrawler on the field 2. Play Sadistic Hypnotist 3. Sadist sacs himself 4. Opponent discards two 5. End step, Sadist returns to your hand. 6. Rinse, repeat.
This will not win you friends, hey, an auto two card sac each round is efficient.
