It was used in the first sligh deck, but only because the tournament required homelands cards be used.
But, hilariously enough, Goblins of the Flarg was in the same deck...
It won games, and thats funny.

There have been a few attempts to make Dwarves a viable tribe but it never seems to work out. This might be a viable card if any of them had worked out. As it is, though, it's strictly inferior to so many Goblins it's not even funny - not to mention Mountain Goat. How many cards can you honestly say are strictly inferior to a goat?

How come this 1/1 for Red gets better rating than Dwarven Pony which is 1/1 for Red + ability?

crazed goblin would be strictly worse, except that it is at least a goblin an therefore has some tribal synergy. Simply put this card is among the worst red cards EVER!!!

of course, some folk believe that there ARE no dwarf women. that we just sprout out of the rocks fully grown! which of course is ridiculous! --Gimli, son of Gloin, Two Towers.

No Wizards, what's ridiculous is that you made a Dwarf Woman card TEN YEARS AGO, and nobody has YET made this comment.

@tavaritz - The tribal component? The fact that the pony's ability cost so much for such a crappy ability? Take your pick.

Its sad that Dwarves as a tribe got shafted time and time again. In Odyssey block they nearly made it with Balthor the Stout except he rewarded you for playing Barbarians, huh? He was a Barbarian lord not a dwarf lord. I understand the story that he was a mentor to both Kamahl, Pit Fighter and Jeska, Warrior Adept But seriously couldn't they print him as other Warriors and Barbarians you control gain +1/+1 and First strike?

Back to my point this is the perfect example of a Dwarf being undersized, given it was in Homelands and most of the cards in that set were very underwhelming by today's standard. But Wizards has yet to print a good dwarf creature because Goblins is the favorite red weenie tribe. Same goes for Elves, Zombies, Soldiers, and Wizards.

1/1 for 1 is beyond broken.

Couldn't they have given this creature any kind of ability, no matter how insignificant? Anything, anything at all to give this card a chance of being used in a deck...
