Great new art.
Also, this + Gisela, blade of Goldnight + 4 Furnace of Wraths = instant win.

Looks like Mordor or Mustafar. I approve :)

Ferlord: because Ancient Tomb's art got it right the FIRST time, and didn't NEED better. :)

If you want to love this card, don't look at Tolarian Academy from the same set. :P

I know it's not the greatest card, but it does provide fuel to a burn deck in topdeck mode, and it is a repeatable colourless source of damage. I'm not thrilled with it's inclusion, but it's better than what I feared could be in the set.

@Ferlord

Ancient Tomb's art is amazing. Regardless, this didn't need new art, or a reprint. Easily the most disappointing addition to Realms. At least Desert has flavor and class. Gorge is just one of the only cards in its cycle not on the no-reprint list. Way to be an underachiever, Gorge.

Phyrexian Tower is also a part of that cycle and is also not on the reserve list, and would probably be received better by players overall.

Excellent art, but unfortunately it's not such a great card.

This could be tech in a Rakdos, Lord of Riots EDH deck to make sure he can get into play.

Repeatable damage is good. Tolarian Academy and friends were broken monstrosity's that should have never got past play testing day 1.

Uncounterable, repeatable, colorless, non-target damages, that doesn't even cost you a card. You seriously are understimating this card... The only drawback is that it doesn't give you {R}, but only {1}... I would like it a lot better!

Other cards that do something similar are more expensive and, to be honest, quite different:
Orzhova, the Church of Deals
Keldon Necropolis
Keldon Megaliths
Stensia Bloodhall

You think this is weak? Every red deck would play one if this exists today. Almost no downside, and sometimes it just wins you a game you otherwise wouldn't have.
