Definitely worth more than its current rating. It has the potential to be mass removal for just 1cc, in addition to the fact that it can work in conjunction with other cards to accomplish some impressive combat tricks. Additionally, it has the power to make your other one and two-drops relevant again. Even the lowly Warclamp Mastiff can overcome Traft or Gore-House Chain Walker and live to fight another day. All of this with the fact that it slices clean through hexproof give it a solid 4 in my book.

This effect is actually quite old and green - Sandstorm. Potentially a board wiper against saproling armies, but ultimately a weak card in the late game. Also, as previously noted, kills 1-toughness hexproof creatures.

Strictly worse then Marrow Shards. Name one case where plain mana is the better choice over phyrexian mana

@Thewrathofshane: You're on 2 life and they Mindslaver you. But Marrow Shards is still strictly better.

Tell me, can you cast this to take out an X/1 creature while exalted is on the stack, before it buffs the x/1 creature?

@Opeth: So long as you cast it after the Exalted triggers go on the stack but before they resolve
Also, its funny how this card is significantly worse than Rain of Daggers
