One of the most hilariously worst creatures ever printed!!! Go and make some really funny decks with it.

I can't think of a combo.

This is almost as bad as Ignoble Soldier.

It combos with Flaring Pain!

Flavorful. Efficiently costed p/t for its time in white. Still absolutely horrible.

Haha! This thing has the most flavour of any card out there...except maybe that Camel.

When I first got this card, I used to read it over and over, because I just couldn't believe how bad this was. Imagine the disappointment when this card is your rare in a booster! The flavour is really nice, though, and if the casting cost had been one lower, it might even be a fun card to play.

Should most definitely not be rare.

Hmm, if it had a good upside to it then I would think of things to combo with it but a 3/3 for 4 isn't really worth thinking about for trying to fix it. Hell, if you want some type of good creature for 4 in white just use calciderm, you don't need to have other cards to make that creature good.

A way to use him is to attack with him first and hope your opponent will spend his mana on it so that you can safely cast your spells, but a smart opponent wouldn't do that if he doesn't have any other way of taking care of your spells.

It would be nice if it was red and costed {1} less.

Nice blocker and on attack they might get suckered on paying it.

Ice Age had some great stuff and then it had some garbage. This........is garbage.

It's worse than Ignoble Soldier. At least it deals its three damage if it gets through.

Because 3/3 creatures for 4 are just too powerful... and this is a rare!

Combos with Zedruu, sorta-ish. Yah, I got nothing.

"I, um, I'm attacking you now, but, um, if you don't want me to, I mean-" "I pay 3, you don't do shit" "oh. oh, um...okay...."

*facepalm*

Back when I got into Magic again a bit over a year ago, I perused Gatherer to check out what people said about the old sets from my "first era".

I was pretty shocked how horribad most of Ice age had become. Especially the rares.

And this dude... Is the epitome.

Would have been really usable at {1}{W}, but like this, it's a Hill Giant with a downside at RARE.

Just imagine getting an Ice Age booster today and drawing THIS...

Envying Hill Giant is a lousy place to be.

Despite being the "opposite" colour, the card Mercenaries set a precedent for the Mercenaries creature type by sucking.

At 1W, it would have been decent, but still nothing special. As is, it's terrifyingly awful.

A general rule is that any creature that makes me prefer Hill Giant shouldn't even occur at common. At rare, a strictly-worse Hill Giant shouldn't exist.

Combo! Anti-Changlings! W/ R&D's Secret Lair + Anti merc deck...
Eh?Eh?

In the list of worst cards ever made, I'm thinking it goes something like this:
1. Wood Elemental
2. Sorrow's Path
3. Mercenaries
