what kind of jerk would actually play this versus a friend? "Wanna play?" "Sure, play your blue deck!"

Gotta love the old "Kill Cards". Kids these days don't know what they're missing...

Horrible, if not playing against blue, it's useless, and if playing against blue, it just makes your friends stop playing with you. Think whether this is worth it before you play this.

Yea, the old color hate cards completely lacked any subtlety or strategy. They were all basically "X color deck loses the game". White was the worst offender with cards like Justice, Karma, and the circles of protection. My friends and I never used them, and they are the reason that the concept of sideboarding still seems lame to me even though today's sideboard cards are a lot more fair.
On the other hand, if you run stuff like this in your main deck along with stuff like Sleight of Mind or Magical Hack, that is okay, if a bit cheap.

@grimgorgon R/B/Blue. Look at the Order of Marit Lage... Ah, shit I can't remember what it's called! Wait, the swear stuff let me say shit? And I can't say assassin?

Whenever anyone tried to cast this against a blue deck it was countered, at 5 mana you can even cast Force of Will the hard way.

@angry_puppy:
You're only going to have this in your deck if you know you're playing against blue, in which case you'd have Red Elemental Blasts and/or Pyroblasts in your deck, so Counterspells aren't a problem.

@land_comment: You meant Wrath of Marit Lage.

The Wrath is fa sinister than this. Blue can slip enchantments out with counter backing and red has no way to get rid of enchantments. Plus it was reprinted this hasn't been.

Wow, that art is... abstract.

You may get your mono blue friend once with this, but after that, you just know he's going to buy 4 Magical Hacks.

"So, think you can tap my islands? Well the joke's on you... Mountains, please."

Weird art.

Also weird that Marit Lage seems to use red to hate blue, and use blue to hate on red...

Why not play Boil instead?

Sadly, not errata'd to be a Curse.

Play this plus Blood Moon to really lock down blue.

Or you could just play Contamination and lock out red, blue, white, and green...

For the record, the art is not abstract and is instead highly representational.
