Gridlock may be better in most cases, but Malicious Advice could tap lands, which Gridlock cannot. And yes, strategies involving having less life is definitely workable with this one.

Why so much hate? Am I the only one who noticed the "and" in there?
Reality Spasm might be the better card overall, but this card gives better bang for it's buck when just tapping out your opponents. Instead of paying {1} for each permanent, you pay {1} to tap an artifact, creature, AND a land.
Not saying the card is GOOD (I would take Sleep or Turnabout over it any day, but it's better than a 1.5...
