Whoa! Proliferate for tokens, literally! This spell is game-ending. Perfect for G/W token decks (oh really!? Who would have thought.) and if there are more populate cards, I would get as many as I could. 4/5 for me.

Populate means you could target any token creature, not necessarily the centaur you just put into play.

This card isn't very cost effective, however, it will see draft play. I don't expect it to see much standard play though, maybe if it was 5cmc... But not 6.

Phenomenal art.

I am a pro, therefore I see the potential of this card. At the very worst you get 2 centaurs which is nice. But you can possibly populate something even better...

Six power for six mana isn't terrible, but even at common I think I'd prefer at least First Strike or Vigilance slapped on as well. And due to the cost, these tokens will arrive as 3/3's late-game when they'll tend to matter the least. It remains to be seen if the Populate mechanic will save this--but I don't hold out much hope. The art is stunning, but that goes without saying.

Obvious comparison with Call of the Conclave: You're paying {4} for the populate effect (and the two cards in one, I guess). Personally, I think it's a bit much.
Call of the Concave is only 2 CMC. This is only /slightly/ more than 2 Call of the Conclaves. I'd have preffered Courser's Accord cost 4, but have the wording "populate, then populate again".

Six mana for six power... It's... well, alright. I guess this is a common for a reason. As most card, it's ok in limited. For constructed, it's too expensive.

Killed me in the prerelease, then I used it to kill someone afterward. Deadly in limited, but in constructed, Armada Wurm is obviously better.

At worst it's 6 mana for 6 power across two creatures. At least it's a card with a good amount of value.

You can tell from this card's rating that people are still getting used to populate. On turn 5, create an 8/8 vigilance token with Grove of the Guardian. Then use this to get a 3/3 and an 8/8 vigilance...for 6 CMC. And it's a common!

if the thing you populate with this spell is a centaur creature token, you're not doing it right.

Six mana gets you this or Armada Wurm. Hmmmmm... I hate it when there are (almost) strictly better cards in the same exact set. And Armada Wurm's only excuse is that it's mythic rare. Smh

A very solid limited card. 6 or more power on two durable bodies for 6 mana is incredible in draft or sealed, especially for a common. For that same reason it doesn't deserve to get compared to Call of the Conclave.
@Richters Unless you have some form of mana ramp in effect, you won't be activating Grove on turn 5.

@Weisse: Who DOESN'T have mana ramp in Selesnya?

Have you noticed all the centaurs in this set are 3/3?
