Possibly the most egregious example of a card's art not matching up with its function.

Someone is initiating the stuffy doll into the Leshhrac clan of swampwalkers by painting him with a glyph that allows him to traverse swamps stealthily.
That's a pretty big complicated ritual just to get Swampwalk. Seriously, eternal loyalty, slavery, and blood sacrifice in exchange for the ability to walk through swamps? Leshrac is apparently a dick.

Well, if we consider the other art this doll has appeared in, (Black Vise, The Rack, Cursed Rack) we can safely assume that the effects of any spell/artifact applied to the doll will be transferred to its intended victim. This card shows us how these dolls can also transfer boons to minions. Swampwalk, in this case. The flavour text on Cursed Rack essentially confirms this theory!
They're like voodoo dolls! But not Voodoo Dolls, ironically...

Well... I guess it's good with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
Very mediocre effect...
