As terrible as this is, just remember that it could have been Mindless Null or Scathe Zombies for the 100th time.

Could be worse. 3/2 zombie for 3 ins`t really good but isn`t awful either.
But I have to complain about the artwork. Not enough gore for a zombie, and he looks more like some Gollum/Alien hybrid.

Absolutely terrible. If it had an effect then yes, it might be worth something. However, 3 CMC for a 3/2 just isn't worth it.

Let's propose neat abilities for the vanilla creatures that get printed in each new core set. Who knows, a bored Wizards developer may happen upon one...

Spoiled Younglings! Back in the day, we played our Scathe Zombies and were happy about it!! :P
Anyway, will get a bit better with Innistrad being so Zombie-heavy.

Underrated card. It's perfectly decent in my Zombie deck.

As 'bad' as he seems, he's the best 1 mana zombie with Heartless Summoning in play for zombies. Unbreathing Horde get killed without other zombies in play/graveyard, and this guy suddenly becomes a 1 mana 2/1 perfect choice.

@salient. They print vanilla creatures to establish the bottom of the curve. If the weakest cards were playable and fancy, then the stronger ones would become true monstrosity's.
