I've been waiting for the enemy-coloured dual-lands since the ally-coloured ones in M10 were first made. When I saw the spoilers for these, I was overdelighted.

Glad to see enemy dual lands. Not glad that just about every non-basic land in Innistrad is rare.
What the hell wizards, greedy enough?

Best flavor text of the cycle, by far.

Hazarding a guess at return of Dredge. In Standard. This will be the most sought after Innistrad Dual, seconded by Boros' Hogwarts.

I hate that essential cards are rare for certain decks. I don't mean a specific combo piece or really hard to get card. But pricey land just really bugs me. Pick any two colour combination and you'll be paying anywhere between $10 to $20 just to get the mana base going fairly well.

@ starfox444 Couldn't agree with you more. I've been playing in Magic tourneys for a little less than a year (been playing casually on and off for ~10 years), and I'll say this: It's not lack of creativity, know-how, or research on the metagame that's holding me back, but a lack of hundreds of dollars of rather simple non-basic lands. I think it'll be less of an issue with Zendikar rotating, but still...
Regarding this card, it is the biggest enabler of Phyrexian Obliterator, period. Black's allied colors just couldn't offer the support to make Obliterator top-tier, but with this and Prey Upon being released, I have no doubt it'll soon be a popular archetype.
Another Plants vs. Zombies card other than Grave Bramble!

How did the trees strangle the zombies? They don't breathe, It shouldn't bother them! And can't some of the trees be zombies too? Huh, I just invented a new tribal subtype....ZOMBIE TREE.....
EDIT: Wizards made Ghoultree. I HAVE THE POWEEERRRR!!!!
Funny how this is rated lower than the realities of it seeing play and the fact that it's a 10 dollar card.

Everyone's pointing out that they strangled the dead, as if this is somehow ridiculous. Let us look at it another way, the trees are just that bad ass.

Innistrad card, but that fabulous flavour text is Golgari through and through.
