Shatter, you just got served.

OK, that's it. I officially have no will not to splash green into my R/U counterburn deck. Time to double up on dual lands, I guess.

On the flavor text, I really like the concept, but it just sounds so condescending. You could have just ended after "...it's a collar." You read it and say, "oh, like Avacyn's Collar, which he's currently smashing." And then while you're thinking that to yourself already, the flavor text jumps back in and goes "Yes, collars like this one right here. That he's smashing. Also, that's Avacyn's Collar, by the way. Which is the symbol of her church, in case you didn't know that."

It's called enthymeme, people! Leave part of the story out so that the reader fills in the missing pieces and becomes invested in its telling.

@Lyconet I thought the same thing! The flavor text feels awkward.

Anyway, more crap to deal with for my Esper Deck. Yay.

STRICTLY better than shatter (unless your playing mono EDH or you cant splash green or....)

What a great reprint! My favorite artifact hate card returns. Liquimetal Coating deck is getting funnier.

I feel like they printed this pretty much as a sideboard against the mythic swords of the scars block

@ Dragonmaster3.0: Green and red do tend to be double teaming artifacts a lot more now, aren't they?

Wizards must really have something against artifact decks being viable in standard.

Disappointingly umdercosted. I would have been happier to see this at something like 1R, GG to justify the flashback a la Rites of Unburial.

They should reprint Ray of Revelation too.

MIRRODIN?

WEREWOLVES DENY YOUR "MIRRODIN."

Aww, I don't like having my Memnites and Porcelain Legionnaires smashed.

@Vedalken_Arbiter: Guess what? They are.

Despite its awkward flavor text, this card that destroys artifacts with flashback is a pretty good reprint--except for its redundant flavor text on a card with flashback that destroys artifacts and was reprinted with flavor text that feels awkward.

Hint hint Avacyn was made by Sorin Markov so the Werewolves hate her hint hint.

Holy heavy-handed flavor text Batman! Ok, we get it, werewolves don't like Avacyn's Collar!

Awesome card tho. This is main deck material in combo with Liquimetal Coating.

5/5 for that sick art.

No need to comment on the Avacynian flavor here, the flavor text takes care of that for me.

They should've just kept the flavor text cut at

"If there's anything a werewolf hates, it's a collar—especially Avacyn's."

Improves on a lot of artifact desruction cards because, asuming you have green in your deck, you can cheaply flash it back.

I will use this to destroy MasterOfEtherium.

This is a sideboard staple because of the card advantage it provides.
