While land destruction has become less viable lately, this is a very nice addition. You are winning; why not stay winning?

I don't think this is really meant for a land destruction deck. It's more like, get through with all of your goblins this turn, and while you're at it, also *** off your opponent.
Oh, were you leaving that forest untapped to play fog? Sorry.

@FishingForTeeth: And in response I tap that land and cast Fog anyway.

@blindthrall,
Yeah, but now FishingForTeeth doesn't have to commit his creatures to the attack and leave himself open....

Awesome card if you use it right. I like it enough for 3.5 stars.

Really useful in my RG manaramp/horde/big ol' dragons and titans deck. If I can play it early in the game thanks to my Llanowar Elves or Bird of Paradise or Rampant Growth or something rampy, then they're set back a turn, and maybe I can sneak in a creature or two. Late in the game, it can be enough for a game-winning charge.

if only there was some small bonus included like 3/0 to target creature or +1/0 to all it'd be 4/5, as it is more like 3,5 - its a good deal, but once you have a big enough army to have evasion be useful, the LD is not likely to be of much use. still give it 4/5 for the innovation.

I like it. This is what LD should look like. You use it to get a full swing in and at the same time nuke a land. Might not seem like a big deal but maby they were counting on 1 more land for a 5 or 6 drop, then u set them back 2 turns. Really big tempo atvantage espically since you just assaulted. It also has the flexibility late game to give you options. With lands like Celestial Colonnade LD could come in handy. Also it could give you the winning swing late game. 3.5/5 well all around card and splashable to boot.

Even in a depowered LD environment, we get a card that's Stone Rain and Falter stapled together for less than the total mana cost of the two. (Yes, Falter is an instant, but other than futzing with other people's attacks in multiplayer there's not a whole lot of ways to use its instantness.) Then again, the modern toning down of land destruction seems to be less about how efficent it is and more about how early it can be played... if that makes any sense.

if nothing else, works great with werewolves, allowing your attackers to get through while also limiting your opponent's ability to cast more than one spell a turn.

Doubly especially when they're complaining about manascrew.
