Tired of your Commander being hit by removal spells? Here's the answer for you!

In addition to an annoyingly good solution for commander removal, the low equip cost means that you can temporarily put it on another creature if your Commander does get killed.

Even if putting this thing on makes me a better commander I wouldn't be caught dead in something that ugly.

Amazing card, should become a staple and also give a reason to use more legends than just your Commander.

A shame that it's only in a single Preconstructed Deck.

WOW, No offense Alan Pollack, but this art really, really freaking blows. It just looks so stupid..
I feel better about this not being in the deck I'm buying now, cause the art is so bad.. I apologize, but it's the truth :(

On it's own the art is kinda crappy, but if it were on some giant armored Greek warrior it would look insanely cool.

Tenza, Godo's Maul all over again. But better.

but troll shroud sounded so much cooler. It meant no one could troll about it. . .

Compare and contrast with General's Kabuto. On the one hand, the Kabuto also prevents creature damage, while this bestows Hexproof rather than Shroud, opening up more options for you to buff up your commander.

Chamale has a good point - the legendary-is-Hexproof bit is the main focus of the Helm, but the rest of it is pretty decent as well - +2/+2 to any creature for 3 and equip 1 is a solid utility equipment to have lying around. Not worth including in a deck on that alone, but it certainly makes sure this is useful when you don't have a legend out.

Makes Kemba, Kha Regent even more fun.

Already starting to lose some of its luster to Swiftfoot Boots. This does give +2/+2, but not all generals are really suited to combat. Then again, you could just run both.

Sword of the Chosen but much better. Also keeping pace with the powercreep that has been happening since Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block. 3/5

Because really, EVERY commander needed to be as broken as Uril...
For extra fun, equip to Dosan. Watch people cry.

For all of you who think this art is bad, you seriously need some history lessons. Or, hell, go watch 300 again. This should look familiar.

I wasn't aware that they modeled a helmet after heavy weapons guy. *The more you know*

@ruling: Can't you just unequip it?

@azure_drake222222: Yes, if you still control the equipment, you can always equip it to another creature you control (as a sorcery). But there's no way to just "unequip it". (That's the reason you might hesitate to equip a Lightning Greaves if you only have one creature.)
