That's the second mill card to use the word tome.

This is pretty good and versatile! You can have a constant attack on the opponent in a mill deck, or mill yourself (which is gonna be pretty powerful in Innistrad)

still don't see the need for 'curses' considering we already have had "curses" before--ie. enchant player cards. ah well; when this block is over they won't make any new curse cards anyhow--just like arcane, tribal, and trap cards.

This complements Jace's Erasure pretty nicely. I like it.

Some fun synergy with Vengeful Pharaoh if you cast it on yourself... just keeps blowing stuff up and you dont ever have to draw it again

Immagine having four of these on the battlefield. Player puts the top twelve of his library into the graveyeard. It's a reduced Jace Beleren's ulimate every other turn. You can diminish your oppnent's library in no time. I'm surprized it's only common.

As a zombie player, I am pretty much definitely playing this on myself.
The only way I'm putting this on my opponent is if I already have an Undead Alchemist on the board.

Valyant: er, 4*2 =/= 12. The number you are thinking of is 8.

I was doing draft first picked dead weight then i got passed this decided to do black blue i ended up with 5 of these about 6 or so walls i ended up doing a decent black blue control/mill deck in draft. People need to pick these sooner than they are doing so, i had to pass on one to get a skaab wall and it tabled, its sick in limited
4/5 for limited only

"After seeing his life's work drip away..." - JTMS is banned.

"...the mage decided it was a good time to go crazy." - this card.

This has to be my favorite card, I've got 2 in my deck, and I love having them both out.

3 mana for free Millstone effect during my opponent's upkeep without paying 2 mana! I wish I had this back in the day along with Millstone.

I keep taking it out of decks I build, but when I do play it, I think, "Am I stupid? This is awesome!" Then I take it out again. Intelligence fail.
