If you don't play with the kicker cost, its a really bad card. If you do play it with the kicker cost, its still a really bad card. I have rated and reviewed just about every serpent on the magic gatherer, and you know what? I'm thoroughly disappointed. There are absolutely no functional serpent cards whatsoever (albeit Lightning Serpent is practical) in Magic The Gathering. Wizards, RND, somebody, please design a constructive serpent for the future, so that later generations of magic players don't have to experience the crappy serpents that we have to today.

Not so bad. Blue doesn't get 6/6s for 6 too often, but the drawback hurts this. Playing this without kicker sucks, though.

Half an Islandhome ability sucks. They should have just kept Islandhome.

I combo it with Ghostly Wings and Tidal Warrior.

Combo with Reef Shaman, who is tougher than Tidal Warrior and in the same block as this guy.

Strictly better than Sea Serpent and Sea Monster.
And Deep-Sea Serpent...

How is this rated worse than sea serpent?
