Most excellent in graveyard utilizing decks. Just thinking about using that ability to get a Stinkweed Imp into the grave, then dredging it out for 5... THEN, UNEARTHING this guy to grab yet another for a slew of cards in the 'yard let alone two flying deathtouchers on the battlefield.

Sweet, sweet combo sauce.

I want you meet my friends bloodghast and vengevine, if this card cost less people might consider playing it. Still exactly what I've been looking for.

Meh, indeed not a bad card for a graveyard using deck, but 5 mana cost is huge. No good for the zombie deck, which not only relies on a average to low mana curve, but on "2/2 for 3" creatures who boost each other.

A balanced Energy or Buried Alive ? Not a chance, this is too overcosted for a small ability. However, it excels in EDH with Sedrax the Traitor King as your General.

All you need is him and Revive to get any monster capable of hitting the graveyard that you want onto the battlefield for 5 mana. Great for eldrazi and other high cost creatures. Too bad not so much for Blightsteel Colossus =/, but that is what Shape Anew, Elvish Piper, and Master Transmuter are for.

if you have five mana and you want to cast emrakul the eons torn.
this + rise from the grave.
I actually like this card better than entomb because it's a creature, and I prefer my spells to have bodies, it makes them more effecient and reusable.
gravedigger is a 4 of in my deck while I have no instant or sorcery cards with the same effect.
and 2 cadaver imps as well.
this card unfortunetly despite it's 3/3 body is a little overshadowed by buried alive though, I however will still be using this one because, like I said reusable (and no I'm not refering to it's unearth though that could be handy in a pinch.

also I do not approve of the eldrazi based combo with this card or any other, eldrazi can suck zombie balls!
instead use this same combo to get out archdemon of unx AND make it a zombie in one fell swoop.

@supershawn:

you should read your cards before posting combos: Emrakul will never stay long enough in your graveyard. So your combo fails. Do you ralley think WotC would make it so easy to cast ridiculous creatures such as the Legendary Eldrazis? C'mon...

"Ah yes, this one is nicely aged. It has a fine, earthy flavor."

I'm putting together a tribal cube list and I can't wait to see if this guy will be a champ or a chump. I can see him going great with cards like Gravedigger, Cruel Revival and especially Recurring Nightmare.

The art, though somewhat creepy, is some of the most hilarious art in magic paired with the name.

@snoopfrogg

You do realize that you're completely wrong about Eldrazis in the graveyard, right? They have a triggered ability that goes on the stack and can be responded to at instant speed. They can be reanimated and then the rest of the ability will resolve, shuffling one's graveyard back into his or her library.

And of your snarky attitude, maybe you should take your own advice before you criticize others about rules...
