Feels so wrong... Obviously, worse than Wall of Razors, and it is just odd seeing red with a common wall.

Seems to be about on par with Cinder Wall, granted, Cinder Wall -is- cheaper. But, I guess the Torches do die pretty easily in comparison. Still, I rather like it for some reason.

Simply due to the fact that a previous card was better does not negate a card's usefulness. Shock is not a bad card because Lightning Bolt is better. And this card has some hidden uses, especially during drafts. This is part of the reason they reprinted Fling. This card really helped me out during a draft, combined with Fling, Titanic Growth, Reclaim, and Elixir of Immortality. A pretty awesome repeatable damage combo using only commons and one uncommon. Honestly, if you don't like a card, point out its faults rather than simply point at a better card. I don't deny that Baneslayer Angel is a stupidly effective card, but I also don't say that Serra Angel was a bad card because Baneslayer Angel exists.
Ugh, how is it that people are constantly complaining of powercreep, yet we get fair cards like this, and they hate it? Yeah, I think it's fair. Good, even.

Ok, I am very new at this game and I am trying to understand some of my cards. Can someone tell me, since this is a Defender card and can't attack, why is there 4 power on it?

Compared to creatures with 4 toughness, this will block and kill it, leaving the enemy down a better card that cost them more mana to play. It may also make them not attack, afraid of losing an important creature. Most other walls have 1 or 2 power or zero, but more toughness, allowing them to stay alive longer, but not ward off an attack.
This isn't a bad card and it's not a great card. It's just okay. It's a common from a core set and it's a wall, so being okay is about the best you can expect.

Not a great card, but MAN that is some terrific artwork. I want to slap it on another card to proxy with.

This flavour text and the fact that it still kills Arrogant Bloodlord makes me laugh.

I don't get it. Wall of Razors was fun, but it wasn't exactly overpowered; and creatures have gotten a lot better since then. Why would they print a nerfed version of it?

@Buderus: You made love to your Wall of Razors? Sounds pretty painful...
Interesting, to say the least. 2-drop with 4 toughness is definitely useful for scaring your opponent away from attacking early in the game, can kill an annoying guy later on. One-time use 95% of the time, but what he does, he does well.

This card has one of the most amazing foils I've ever seen.

Normal humans are playing Wall of Razors over this
Funny people kill it with a hornet sting
This is awful.
Funnier people kill it with Spawning Breath. Either that...or their opponent.
