When I started playing Magic, 4th edition was the most recent main set. This artwork blew me away, not because it's particularly good, but because of how big it implied this creature truly was (notice the whales in the foreground and background, skirting the creature like remora). The leviathan dwarfs them, and we aren't even seeing its full size. In terms of power and toughness, this guy looks to be on par with the B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster).

that's because it is from segovia, a miniture plane smaller then the state of california. in real life it would be no bigger (full size) then an elephant.
Established the long-running tradition of Leviathans being sucky, which was only recently broken by the likes of Simic Sky Swallower, Stormtide Leviathan and Inkwell Leviathan, which are among the best fatties in the game.
