If it didn't say bird I would not of thought it was a bird, maybe an insect or something, yay for white infect though..

Think of it as a 4/3, since it has infect. Doesn't seem too bad anymore, but still; I wouldn't use this one too often. There are better things to spend five mana on...
IT IS NOT +1/+2, it is +0/+2 over tine shrike.
White and red should leave infect to black and green (with support from blue). This can be dangerous in draft though, flying infect can quickly cause pain.

What would you rather have: This, or Putrefax or even Bladed Pinions equipped to a creature (like Lost Leonin)? Too bad this card is the way it is, Tine Shrike does its job pretty well, and of the 4 White Infect creatures, Wizards had to make 2 that share really the same role. I wish this was a good, or at least interesting card. Could have been worse I guess, but still.

I don't see how you could possibly ask if such a weak mechanic obsoletes the life total? Unless they print nothing but infect cards for the next 16 years damage is not going to obsolete. I don't understand how you can't see that ALL abilities are 'completely game-changing' abilities?
Infect is not ridiculous because it's parasitic, has only appeared in one block, and doesn't have enough options to be overpowered. There's a reason nobody plays infect competitively. It's simply a fun mechanic to play around with.

I'll say.
Sounds like a case of Holy Strength.
