are these decent sideboards for limited when ur opponent and you are playing the same main color? it seems like it could find a rather good use there.

They're nothing to sneeze at if you're running mono of the appropriate color either. My brother has a blue deck with two of them, and unless I'm running something with artifact removal they dominate.
Anything that forces you to pull cards from your sideboard to ensure you have an answer for it, is a good card.

Who's rating this a 2? In my world a 2 is something that will rarely win games but makes a difference in some way; Vulshock Berserker, for example. I don't frequently cut them from a limited deck when I'm in color. This cycle, on the other hand, I try to cut every time even if I'm entirely in color. I might sb it in if both me and my opponent are mono blue, but come on. The number of games this will win you is pretty much nonexistant.

Oh great, its this cycle. Again. We could have had 5 really awesome uncommons. Or even 5 more mundane utility commons. But nope, we gotta have this snore fest because lifegain is so important. Sure it's a direct upgrade of that other terrible cycle that shall not be named, but it still isn't useful.

these are the bane of anyone who has played duels of the planeswalkers, I must admit I do enjoy this cycle, It might be good to shove one of each of these from the cycle into EDH sideboard for those 8-10 player EDH games, but thats about it really

why does eveyone hate this cycle it's not supposed to be supper epic pwnage it's just supposed to be a way for you to gain life regardless of the color of your deck that way you can't be easily beat by any good red deck
