Preventing damage to one or the other would be negligible. Combined it is rather powerful.

This in a W/R deck with Magma Phoenix is fantastic.

Works vs. Aggro. Works with combos. Works versus fatties. Works against burn. The only times this card isn't likely to help you is against a mill deck or life loss. It's a one-sided fog that also works out of combat for 3 mana! It'd still be decent if it was only for combat damage. 5/5

Maybe it's because I'm a casual player, but I look at this card and see a powerhouse.

We both have a 4/4 creature, you think that:
A) I won't block because my creature does something or
B) You're willing to trade blockers to clear out my creature.

Pay three I block, you lose a creature, on my turn I swing against you since you don't have your 4/4 anymore. Oh and, screw all the other creatures you swung with.

4.5/5

The defining combat trick for White Weenie in this format.

Am I wrong in thinking this is the best Fog effect so far? Not for the cost or repetition, there is better. I mean just pure effect. I mean, how could it be more one sided? "Regenerate all permanents you control" to get past 'destroy' effects? Momentary Blink all permanents? That could be abused all to high hell, of course. I'm just wondering.

costlier than holy day, but still good for a common.

I don't see this at all as a limited only card. In atleast three cases this is immensely useful. If playing against burn, this can effectively counter that late game blaze or any other detrimental burn. If you are an aggressive deck , then this is an almost guaranteed way to make sure that your units live. The opposite is true, if you are in danger and in a defensive position, you can pop it and kill off a lot of attacking units without you taking damage or your units biting the dust.

This is a very versatile card that isn't over powered or over cost. A solid 4 from me.

Hoses Bonfire of the Damned. And that's pretty cool.
