Basically like a less effective, more mana-intensive Clone.

Hmm...interesting...a bit too colorful for the cost would be my complaint, but I suppose I can see a use for this card.

@DICK: can clone change by itself each turn? It is still not very good, although he is a fun character in the legends books.

Apparently this guy was pretty evil (re: douchebag) in the storyline. Also, hard to kill, though this is not represented on the card. He wanted to be the 'only' copy of whatever he copied, so he killed the originals. Kinda like Evil Twin, that card I think fits the story of Halfdane much better.

Style points if you use this to beat down an Eldrazi.

I always like these Clone type cards, they can be a lot of fun. And this guy is interesting too, but I'm not entirely sure what's white about him. Most shape shifters are mono blue, and sometimes blue black when they have an Evil Twin-like abilities. I'm really not certain why they chose to put white in this cards casting cost. Is it part of it's flavor or backstory perhaps? I'm not certain.

This fella is my EDH general, mostly because Zur is kinda overpowered in that role.

Anyway, Halfdane is Vesuvan Doppelganger from Tolaria. I have three of the Tolaria lands in the deck (poor banned Academy). I really like the idea of having every card depicting my general's home. Flavourful!

This guy would be a lot cooler if only he had first strike...
