Is this (potentially) the only card with Rampage 3? Anyway, as it is, it's crap, but I really like the concept. I can even imagine this card in a combo with Concerted Effort.
I like the idea of choosing abilities and I'm sure this guy was a bruiser back in the day, but when you compare him to Akroma, Angel of Wrath, you just have to sigh and shake your head...

He's an Angel. He's male. Every other Angel in Magic is female (I think. There may be one or two other male Angels I've missed).

This guy could be pretty cool if he had flying as a static ability. Like someone else said too, this is a really cool effect that you dont see on many cards, if any. The classic flavor is cool to me. I love these old duel colored cards, they take me back to being a youngster, and for some reason every time I could get my hands on any multi-colored creatures I would think they were the best ever. I give it a 2

Legends cards weren't reknowned for being good, but they paved the way for gold cards later on. This guy, even back in the day, was just ok. A 4/4 (potentially flying) was nothing to scoff at, but then again, at the exact same cost, you could have summoned Lady Caleria, a much better alternative, or at 5cc, Serra Angel.
Giving the name of the most famous archangel to a 13-year old winged boy... sad.
Even if he had all 4 abilities all the time, he would still not be worthy of 7CMC.

This was my first legendary, so the nostalgia almost makes him worth it. His inefficiency is almost endearing.

@ A3Kitsune: Malach of the Dawn is male. Then there are a few like Angelic Page of indeterminate gender. For what it's worth the novel Planeswalker established that there are male Serra Angels, as one appeared in it.

Would actually be a perfectly reasonable card if you didn't have to choose. Makes me think this character can reappear later as a promo, somehow, with all the abilities instead of 'choose'.

Angelic Skirmisher is a modern day cleanup of this card, cutting the mana cost from to , giving it flying by default, changing the abilities to more relevant ones, and making it non-legendary. Poor Gabriel.

Used to think this guy was cool. But at school, since we only had a limited time to play during lunch or whatever, we often played a "turbo" variant of Magic that eliminated the one-land-per-turn limit, among other things that made this more playable. But for that much mana, he should've had all those abilities at the same time. With that art, it's hard to imagine Gabriel trampling or rampaging much.
