A Glorious Anthem with a multi-kicker. Useful if you are playing a two-color deck, as Emeria, The Sky Ruin requires 7 plains.

ART CELEBRATES RACIAL DIVERSITY. A HUMAN, A MERFOLK, AND A KOR.

Not that diverse, what about goblins, vampires, zombies, elves? Leaving out at least 3 colors of the pie :P

this card is ridiculous in draft, won every game i casted it.

Perhaps something like B/W midrange will be possible again.

Probably not, but I sort of like the pump effect.

I wonder, if i return an ally creature for my graveyard using this card ability, would trigger others allies abilities?

@ Bakyo,

Yes! And thats exactly what i've got planned for it.

All the allies (or most) have the format of:

Whenever (this) or another ally creature enters the battlefield under your control, (you or this) does (something).

So not only would this work well with your allies, but it would cause some massive effects if kicked more than once.

Ex.

2 ondu clerics on the field, you play this kicked 2x to return kazandu blademasters to the field.

2 allies entered the battlefield, so the ondu's both trigger 2x for the 4 allies on the field
2 clerics X 2 triggers * 4 allies = 16 life gain
The blademasters both see each other entering the field so they both trigger as well giving you:
+16 life
+2 4/4 vigilance first strike creatures
and your original clerics are now 2/2s

Of course that'll cost you 8 mana with 4 of it being white, so it could be a bit rough getting there, but if you draw it late game and pull it off, you'll basically win.

Um the Kazandu Blademaster would only be 3/3.

This card is just so ridiculously great, I thought black was the revival color? This is crazy for ally decks, or tribal decks, primarily because it returns the creature to the battlefield vs. to your hand, a distinction that very few cards have. Only profane command, emeria the sky ruin, torrent of souls, and rise from the grave (maybe 2 or 3 others I'm forgetting) will put a creature directly back into play. Most revivals only put the creature back in your hand. This could be insanely nuts if your creature is say.. a twilight shepherd, who brings back your other creatures, reveillark, or an ink eyes.

What, goblins and elves can't join in on the fun? :P

Too expensive to effectively help with weanie. If it was 1W and 1W Multi-Kicker than this card would be playable. By the time you get to 4 mana you probably enough creatures to make the +1/+1 really mean something. Now if you could turn 5 a Conqueror's Pledge then turn 6 a Eldrazi Monument then I say GG.

@blindthrall: Sorry, but the Blademasters would be 4/4... they trigger themselves and each other.

Question: Since the ability on the card directly returns creatures from the graveyard to the battlefield, does this bypass "Target creature cannot be regenerated" abilities?

Who is not rating this 5 stars? It is so incredibly powerful! Multiple self raise dead for 2 mana each and -+1/+1 for all your creatures for 4 mana!

I like this card. It's kind of a backup pump for mid game. And I play casual a lot so for us, the games last a lot longer. This card is good for those games because on turn ten or so, playing this is pretty awesome. Overall, it's alright. It's definitely a "poor man's" Honor of the Pure, or Glorious Anthem, or (going back way far) Crusade. It's weird that there is so much power creep, but some of the best cards were created during the infancy of MTG.

This is actually alot of fun in a leveler deck, since I usually just bounce or chump block with Venerated Teacher.

It isn't actually Racial Diversity if they are different species . . .

Edit: Ooookay, random atheists attacking a meme-based comment on a Magic card. Cool story bro.

Thanks to JWolps' comment, I will now refer to this card as "Racial Diversity".

So many stupid or weird comments here...

I like the fact that this card is a two for one. 4/5

amazing with kor skyfisher in your graveyard. kick the anthem and use the skyfisher's ability to bounce the anthem back to your hand (for re-use later, perhaps after Wrath :) )

The Ginger-souls comment was funny, the Atheist comment was poorly placed. This isn't the place for a debate on whether God exists or not, but the timely application of a meme to a picture that was begging to be mocked is, IMO, very appropriate.

Sense of humour > inappropriate preaching.

Demonic_Angel13: You mean, Glorious Anthem meets Resurrection, right? I mean, it's not like their freaking name is fifty percent alike, right? Also, Emeria, the Sky Ruin is consistently reusable reanimation while this is much less so.

I have this bizarre image of some sort of white reanimator based around Spellshapers (i.e. Mageta the Lion to discard the cards.). Up comes the Myr Battlesphere.

If I flicker this does it "remember" the multikicker used to cast it?
As I read it, it does :
1. You pay the multikicker WHEN YOU CAST. not when it enters the battlefield.
2. The resurrection ability is ETB.

@doitpow
Flickering does not preserve multikicker.

Man this card seems crazy in EDH!

Being able to reanimate several targets with one card can be a huge swing late game. What other card can reanimate four dead creatures all at once? (If you don't have twelve mana by the time this is relevant then IDK what to tell you.)

I would play this as a sorcery...
