Why is this worth 20 dollars?? I mean, it brutally rapes dredge, but a 20-dollar common? Really?

Strong, but I really don't like it. Clearing out graveyards shouldn't be this easy.

This is a good card. Hey, guess what, I just hosed graveyard strategies without even devoting any of my sideboard slots to it. Staple.

Nasty. Unearth decks will hate this card with a passion. There seems to be a lot of cards interacting with "Exile" effects, like MIrror of Fate, so would you, in a deck built for it, want to hit yourself with this?

Why do they hate dredge so much?

It sure won't stay worth 20 dollars when they are last picks in draft after a couple weeks. I don't feel sorry for anyone I traded my Crypt of Agadeem to now. I can main board 2 of these and save space on my side board. Unearth breaks control so **** um. I should be able to win tournaments with straight control and not have to dedicate my whole side board to one deck type.

Wizards apparently indeed wants to provide players with the best graveyard hate possible for their sideboards.
I agree with ClowWizardEriol, they make exiling cards in the graveyard easier and easier.
Playing this land is like playing a Swamp and casting a cantrip for Black which can't be countered.
And since it's a cip/etb effect you could even make use of this land's ability more than once.

Relic of Progenitus was already an improved version of Scrabbling Claws, which was an improved version of Phyrexian Furnace. This is a pretty unevitable Tormod's Crypt which is part of your mana base at the same time.
And as opposed to the Relic, it won't even empty your graveyard.

Obviously very effective for what it does... although there are so many good cards that play against the opponents graveyard for black, it is somewhat of a double-edged sword.

Still, pretty amazing for what it does.

Oh, I don't know if this is going to "break" graveyard/dredge strategies. As time goes on, strats that use graveyard manipulation have gone up drastically in power. I think WotC sees this is a balance against the sheer power of this strat.

1) Realistically, will people main deck these? Probably not, since you can't fetch it, and it's not a dual land. That's one spot that could be used for mana fixing.
2)Dredge decks can often survive a few graveyard exiles. In two more turns they can have an Iona on the board.
3) This isn't an instant speed removal, so it can't be used in response to their actions. Instead, dredge can respond to *it*.

It might see spots in some sideboards, but probably not. Ravenous trap is 0 to cost and instant and doesn't screw up your mana base. In any case, you'll likely not see this AND relic of progenitus AND ravenous trap AND tormod's crypts in the same sideboard. Probably just 1 of those.

Wow. graveyard gone for free (well sac a land). This card is a lil out of hand you can't counter it BC its a land, and not many cards stop activated abilities. this is by far the best out of the 5 uncommon non-basic lands in Worldwake.

The best "do-something" land in Worldwake, however Removing graveyards From The Game shouldn't be this easy.

I play mono-black (meaning i could use this) and even i am upset about this, its ridicolous and at common status?! WTF is going on wizards, you just decide to make rise from the grave and disentomb useless and fart on bloodghast's face like this, i can already imagine myself cursing wizards when this is played against me, its absurd, just extremely absurd, a card like this simply should not exist but i you want to print this efect then make it 5cmc sorcery at the least, they get to clear my graveyard for free.

ColorlessGorilla TitanColorless anybody? That was just somthing I thought of off the top of my head. This card has the potential to screw over so many decks like dredge, re-animator, and nether decks. This card I would only see when people are metagaming and even still, its only good when it's late game.

now Crop Rotation reads:

Destroy target goyf. If that goyf is a Tarmogoyf, it becomes an 0/1 creature instead. ;)

just make sure you have ways to exile your own graveyard (tombstalker, another bog, night soil, etc.)

This card strengthens mill decks, since it denies the opponent any opportunity to retrieve cards from the graveyard.

This card will also slow down or stop decks that like to interact with cards in the graveyard (reanimator decks).

In summary, it's an uncounterable Tormod's Crypt. A player might sideboard these even if they don't play black just to stop decks that grab cards from the graveyard.

Above is a quote from Nickkom...

(Graveyard Use)
I believe that you can fetch this Land with Grim Discovery, from the Zendikar set: which allows you to " choose one or both-Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand; or return target land card from your graveyard to your hand.
( Fetching from hand)
Your thinking that don't explain it right, OK tutor it up with Diabolic Tutor... To bring it to your hand!
(Graveyard other use)
I know your wondering why I am saying this is a fetch able land, right? Consider this: say your opponent finds a way to destroy your land with "Tectonic Edge" or you sac it yourself for the purpose of another use... Simply saying, that it is possible bring it back from the graveyard with "Grim Discovery".

Let me know what you all think...

I was utterly blind sided by this card the first time it was played on me. I'd like to find more Trickbinds to counter it's effect. If WotC is gonna make a card with this much power for such a minimal cost and at such low rarity it needs to make cards that can bring cards from back from the Out of Play pile, or more cards like Trickbind. It's ridiculous, but admittedly good for mill decks.

It's not nearly as good as Tormod's Crypt, but dredge and reanimator are annoying to play against so anything helps. I really can't see anyone maindecking these in eternal formats though. The fact that you can only play lands during your turn renders this almost useless against reanimator.

This is undeniably a double-edged sword for black, but one that I think overall is necessary. I actually main deck four of these in a WhiteBlack Reanimator because they interact so well with Exhume and Living Death targeting the opponent. Maybe it is a bit too powerful compared to the slightly clunkier Nihil Spellbomb, but great nonetheless.

Can't give it anything less than a 5/5 though.

Cards that hate this card:
all phoenix cards, all exhume cards, all threshold cards, all flashback cards, all unearth cards, most dredge decks,
Accumulated Knowledge, crucible of worlds, Glissa, preators councel, demigod of revenge, emeria, sheoldred, sun titan, lavamancer, wrexial, vengevine, tariel, bladewing, bloodghast, bonehoard, crypt of agadeem, mortivore, necrotic ooze, pyromance ascension,..... and so much more.

this card can't be countered and thats so cool :)

Printing this was a big mistake. BBog has singlehandedly destroyed much of the enjoyment in our multiplayer games. It fits in any deck, is uncounterable, doesn't cost even a card slot. Too efficient and too boring! 0.5/5 for poor design, insufficient testing & flawed thinking.

Counter its ability with Stifle. Run some Phyrexian Dreadnoughts in your deck too to make use of extra Stifles. Use with a deck that likes creatures in the graveyard in general, and the Dreadnought gets you a free one, if you don't draw the Stifle.

Flashback, Goyf, KotR, Threshold, Dredge, and other keywords are all stopped cold by a mainable land

This is spectacular if you have a casual multiplayer group like mine; as oyu don't really get sideboards and such. You want a little bit of hate but you don't want to weaken your deck really. Having cards like this helps a lot; as if each player has a card or two that does it you can hate on the grave guy enough that he gets a challenge rather than stomping the group from all of the card advantage available.
