not exactly a "noble steed." I feel like he's on a riding lawn mower.

Opponent has nothing on the battlefield except Chandra with 8 counters and tapped lands. Its your turn declare attackers. Where would you attack with this?

He needs something like Armored Ascension so he can fly over your opponents.

What the hell is he riding? My first reaction was just a weird horse, but it seems more like a wingless griffin? Or a wingless hippogriff? It's not a Leotau or Rhox or something like that.

he is riding a baloth ie. a beast

@Qazior: sorry, but that is a stupid question, you hit the player, 4 dmg, and exile chandra, sorry, but that should be a no brainer

@Gezus82: No, you cannot exile lands with his triggered ability, as lands count as non-colored permanents (the color of a spell/permanent is determined by it's manacost, not the color of its borders. Since lands don't have a manacost, they count as colorless.)

this dude likes to use Painter's servant, he is only sideboard worthy because of the color hate

Question, can his ability be used to exile a card, lets say a Bloodwitch, which has protection from white?

@NamfoodletheGreat
It can't exile the Bloodwitch because its a targeted ability.

Highly situational, but within that situation; very powerful.

Evasion and this guy make for a very powerful combo. Most obvious card to pair with him is Whispersilk Cloak. You gain shroud against removal and become unblockable.

On its own, a solid card that has a cool ability.

@gez im pretty shure ur wrong, you wouldnt be able to exile a land because it has no mana cost. Just like you cant get buffs from your islands with faerie swarm

Is this card worth sideboarding against Jund in a Naya deck? Or is it too slow to hit the board?

Is this card worth using against a red deck in a Leveler deck?

Sideboard worthy and need lots of protection.

Paired this with Brave the Elements and Knight of Exemplar. My opponent who likes using Red and Black combo got ***ed with this card.

For 5 mana, this guy is a very fragile Celestial Purge on a stick. I say fragile because there's plenty of options from either black or red these days that will get rid of him before he even swings.

A shame it doesn't have any protection from removal spells. Otherwise a very cool card. I love Knights and cards that hose black. Therefore I love this card.

For what it's worth I have used a combo black and white deck with distorting lens and whispersilk cloak.
Turn any of there permenents red or black no matter what color there using.
very nasty.

I love this card. 5/5. Its a knight, so with knight exemplar it's a 5/5 indistuctable with first strike and an awesome ability.

And, I play this is my W/U knight deck. All my creatures are white, and blue is only in there for counters, and Mindbend.

With mind bend and this? Almost instant win, especially with knight exemplar.

Also with mirran crusader? Mind bend makes it pro anything. it makes it almost a brave the elements creature.

I think he's good by himself. Just need exile targets and you're good to go. EDH?

This or Celestial Purge should not have been made. I'm thinking Purge ought to be gone forever, and this might deserve a reprint.

Having BOTH of them made so close to each other though, made Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker almost a laughing stock. I understand the need for hate against colors. And I understand for there to need to be SOME kind of answers to Planeswalkers (ESPECIALLY BLUE ONES), but I think
"Color Hate Oblivion Vindicate" needs to have it's mana cost rethought. Certainly Exiling should not cost only the same as destroying.

4/4 First Strike for 5 is already decent.

Celestial Purge on legs is delicious, delicious gravy.

@PnPgamer:

I think we may have just broke magic. We both thought Trait Doctoring did something useful.

Unfortunately you choose the target of Lightwielder Paladin when its ability goes on the stack (like all targetted spells). Which is at the same time as Trait Doctoring's cipher. So... Lightwielder can't target what you're doctoring the traits of.

If you could remove the paladin's first strike (or give it double strike) and give it unblockable, but also put trait doctoring on something else with first (or double) strike and unblockable, then we'd be in business. The initial casting of trait doctoring would be okay though.
