*** power creep at it's worst, it's getting down rated just because of that.

Much more usefull that Spearbreaker, and it is in a more suitable colour. Green doesnt need indestructability, but White and blue do need it a lot. I think this is a very usefull card, also great in keeping eldrazi alive.

From the looks of it, her weight is very reasonable, but she chose to wear the worst possible outfit if you don't want to look fat. Plus she has to be compared to her drop-dead gorgeous fellow angels like Linvala.
As for the actual card, she's pretty awesome, but sadly with the existence of Baneslayer Angel, Path to Exile, Oust, and annihilator, she is not worth 6 mana in an aggressive and well-funded metagame.

Dude, Thrull_champion is totally right. If this would have came out in 2010. . Okay, not 2010, but any set before then, this would be extremely high rated! But because of the inevitable power creep, she's not looked twice at in most cases, and she's "selling" haha as of now, before the sets even out for 2 dollars. I'm gonna be picking a few of these up for sure!

Okay, the word filter is having fun with me. It filtered the scrip-t (minus the hyphen) part of de***ion. Can someone explain to me what's wrong with that?

I love this card. She's tough for a rare and the flavor is amazing. Her ability makes your creature nigh-invulnerable but not too much for me to cry broken. Unfortunately she doesn't protect from Annihilator; hopefully I won't have to face Eldrazi decks in casual any time soon.
As for the art, I think she's fine. The background is bada$$. If anything, this card should be a good example of why even angels don't always need skimpy clothing - there are plenty that don't but still look sweet (Battlegrace Angel, for instance). Nonetheless I find it odd that from the same fans of Magic I hear cries that women in skimpy clothing is cliche and dumb and that the art of a woman that doesn't fit your vision of beauty shouldn't be printed on a card. To be honest it makes fantasy (and Magic players in particular) fans look like the horny geeks we get a bad reputation for.
Basically, play this car because you like her cost and her ability; if you don't, then don't play it. If you have an issue with yet another woman in skimpy clothing as the art, then by all means complain. But if it's her stomach you wish to complain about, shame on you. That's a ridiculous thing to have issue with.

I wish this card and Sphinx of Magosi would change color and creature type. I would have loved a white angel that let me draw cards, getting stronger. And I would have preferred a blue creature with acitvated indestructible-ness... a bit better than the quicksilver creatures. But R&D would never do this and that's why I won't play & wait for it to happen.

This card seems so incredibly powerful when compared to the recent spearbreaker behemoth, costing a mana less and working on any creature.
Yes there are a lot of answers to this creature, but this is the same set with vines of vastwood (allied color) and emerge unscathed.. you really shouldn't have that much trouble protecting it.
Consider indestructible baneslayers for just a moment, let that sink in, uh huh.
This is what Kefka's final form would look like if... everything is switched. (yes. I just made a FFVI reference)

The art makes sense as she's a pregnant mother figure but that is the single grossest piece of artwork for an angel I have ever seen, it made me kind of gag when I first saw it.
Brilliant card though going right in my angel deck seriously angels can dominate the battlefield!

Just wait until 2011 releases. If Wizards is smart, then they won't reprint Baneslayer. That'll give all the Zendikar angels a fighting chance, and particularly this one, as when Alara block and 2010 cycle out, goodbye Oblivion Ring and Path to Exile (and Terminate, and Maelstrom Pulse) and indestructibility will get quite a bit better. I'd say she's probably a one or two-of in most decks, though.

First thing i thought when i saw her art was that she was pregnant, albeit i think she is quite sexy so there is nothing wrong with that. I decided to see if other gatherer commentators shared my sentiments, and was amused to read some of the hilarious comments ;)
Anyways decent stats and a good ability, albeit a little mana consuming. Id have preferred a mixture of Twilight Angel and Glen Elendra Archmage, namely instead of WW it would read "Sacrifice Deathless Angel: Target creature Is indestructible this turn" followed by Persist. This way atleast if you play her turn 6 and are tapped out she can have a guaranteed impact even if she gets nuked right away.

This is a very solid card in casual play. If you have the spare mana, combining it with Planar Cleansing can pretty much leave the board clear for free swings with whatever other fatties you saved when the world blew up.
Also, her outfit makes a lot of sense, frankly. What else could she get on over all those wings? I love the seraphim-style wings, too. It would be great to see more old catholic/gnostic imagery on white cards, since it looks so distinctive.
Tried out a deck with her and Emeria, the Sky Ruin, and the interaction is just great. Still gets removed by path and o-ring, but the board is yours to control otherwise -- nothing goes down without your say-so :)

The power creep on creatures is insane. Spells, not so much - old and new are different but there's no clear "better." However, creatures are getting out of control. Back in the day something like this would cost 8, minimum. Like someone else said, the only reason this isn't being rated higher is because of even more ridicules creatures. I swear, ever since Spiritmonger hit the scene R & D has lost all reason when it comes to creatures.

Although she's a little expensive in one-on one play for my taste (being mainly a white weenie player), I love her for multi-player (especially in the board wipe happy environment I play in). Her ability also fits nicely with other army-protecting angels like Twilight Shepard and Reya Dawnbringer.
As for her art, I rather like it. Firstly, as a bit of a humanities geek, I like how her larger figure and open clothing seems to give her a mother goddess look, which is a neat flavor for a card with her effect. I don't think that she's unattractive, despite not fitting with today's "ideal" image of beauty. In my opinion, beauty comes in many forms--in the ancient world, being heavier set was considered a sign of prosperity and fertility and therefore highly valued. In addition, I think it's really cool that a card with a larger woman portrayed as powerful and beautiful exists--in today's world of cookie cutter beauty, it's nice to see some difference. While I believe that everyone is allowed their own tastes, I don't think it's exactly right to call her ugly for not appealing to your personal tastes--some people prefer smaller girls, some prefer larger girls. Neither side is wrong, just different. I think it's quite daring of magic to show these different images of beauty for what they are--all different, all beautiful.

Everyone is entitled to their own subjective judgments on concepts such as beauty. There is no objective standard of beauty, so it's up to everyone's self to make that determination. Calling something 'ugly' is not a qualitative statement, so it cannot just be written off as wrong.

I thought this was a great card when I first saw it, just by her raw stats. A 5/7 flyer for 6 is excellent, giving her the ability to block even Titan-class monsters without even needing to use her ability, and she's still capable of punching in an evasive 5 damage. But, her ability requiring , rather than , eventually made me have to take her out of my R/W deck. I just never had enough white mana to use her ability when I needed it, unless I was already in a situation where I was winning.
She's still a fantastic card, but she's nowhere near as offensive as I needed her to be. Playing her just didn't have the impact I needed, and protecting my creatures for a piece just ended up being too expensive for my two-colored deck.
It's sad, that this is such a great card, but in an environment with Titans, Baneslayers, and other mythic creatures, she just wasn't up to par.
Of course, I ended up placing her in my mono-white EDH deck, where she turned out to be just as awesome as I thought she was. Being able to make my friend's creatures indestructible is a great bargaining chip, and with the longer format giving me a lot more mana to play with, I could even protect a good number of my creatures whenever a wrath effect hit the table, which is pretty often in EDH.
