If this creature and another creature are attacking, can you use this card's ability to untap that second creature?

and if so, is that second creature still considered attacking?

Yes and yes.

I don't understand why Wizard did so many Merfolks with Flying ability in the Zendikar block. For me it's just flavorless (merfolks live in water and should'nt have legs). Also, like this one, Zendikar merfolks with little exceptions are really bad from my point of wiew.

It's vigilant, right? Or it gives you an extra mana? This is going straight in the pinger deck, the merfolk don't even deserve it.

I attached a Splinter Twin to Conquering Manticore. Along with this, i was able to steal one of their fliers and deal 11 unblocked on my turn, untap the manticore and take back the flier to use as a blocker (plus they couldn't hit me while i had no other flier untapped)

Red/Blue ROE is soooo playable in limited here

Why are people so opposed to flying merfolk? Merfolk have allways been keen to use evasion over brute force, if anything this is strictly adhearing to merfolk legacy. Plus a very merfolk-like tap ability. This is as merfolk as it gets

This reminds me of Merrow Reejerey. These new merfolk don't have as much tribal synergy though, which makes me sad.

Its a fairly decent card. Its got flying and a fairly good body. Best of all, it has a more flexible version of vigilance. Supervigilance if you will. Think about it. You attack with it, and then untap it so it can block during your opponents turn, where you get something else untapped. Or you can just untap something else. Its a better card than most think

If I'm being attacked and I have a tapped creature and an untapped Merfolk Skyscout, can I declare the Skyscout as a blocker, then untap my tapped creature and declare it as a blocker, too? Or do I have to declare all of my blockers simultaneously?
